This soundtrack accompanies Martina Priessner’s award-winning documentary "Die Möllner Briefe / The Moelln Letters", which premiered at Berlinale 2025 and won multiple awards. The film explores the aftermath of the 1992 racist arson attack in Mölln (Germany), where three family members were killed, and the discovery of hundreds of undelivered letters of solidarity. Kar Yağar (Snow Falls) is the debut album by Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek. In 12 tracks, the band combines Anatolian folk traditions with their own psych-pop sound. Nem Kaldı is the debut EP by Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek. The band first came together in 2014 to perform these songs at the New Hamburg theater festival, and that experience led them to form the group and record the EP at Larsen Studio. It features four tracks—two Turkish folk songs important to the Turkish-German migrant community, and two original compositions—blending Anatolian folk, psychedelic grooves, and Derya’s vocals and Bağlama into their signature “outernational” sound. Derya Yıldırım appears as guest vocalist on “Andante Calmo” by Michaela Melián, included in the book and LP/CD Electric Ladyland, released for the exhibition Michaela Melián – Electric Ladyland (March 8 – June 19, 2016) at Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau, München.
